As Managing (Member) Partner of Gagné Associates, Ms. Gagné is responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s strategic plan, overall management and governance of the firm. Under her direction, the firm’s staff provides accounting system implementation, business process improvements, audit and tax support, regulatory compliance & monitoring as well as training and education. Ms. Gagné has extensive experience as a chief financial officer, controller, financial management consultant and corporate associate; with industry expertise in real estate, banking, government contracting and nonprofit. Ms. Gagné has successfully developed accounting departments for small and medium sized businesses both for profit and not-for-profit entities. She has worked with business owners and non-profit executives to develop and implement business strategies as well as assist them in raising both debt and equity capital. Ms. Gagné is a proud Texas Longhorn! She holds a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in General Business both from the University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Gagné has served as an adjunct and full-time accounting professor for Howard University School of Business. Ms. Gagné is a licensed CPA in the District of Columbia and Texas. She is also a member of the AICPA, GWSCPA, and NABA/DOF. She serves on the Professional Liability Insurance Program Committee of the AICPA; she mentors young men and women aspiring to be CPAs and has serves on nonprofit boards including her current positions as Treasurer Thurgood Marshall Center Trust and Treasurer US Black Chambers, Inc.
